A gentle and mindful day out in the CAT woods.

We’ll be exploring ecology, green woodworking, foraging materials for projects, and everything in between on this relaxing day out in the CAT woods.

Throughout the day, you’ll gain insight into how CAT manages our woodland habitats to help nature thrive, you’ll explore how to select materials from an ecological and practical perspective, and you’ll get hands-on with green woodworking techniques as you collectively build a rustic bench.

You’ll be learning to use traditional hand tools including a shave horse and a pole lathe to make the legs, spindles and seat of the bench.
