Steve Buckley

Steve is a social enterprise leader and media development specialist with a lifelong interest in ecology, natural history and the environment. He is managing director of development agency Community Made Solutions, where he has led a programme of support for social and environmental enterprises.
Steve is a former chief executive of the UK Community Media Association and has served on the boards of global networks including the World Association of Community Broadcasters and the International Freedom of Expression Exchange. He has been an expert consultant on media development to various international organisations, governments and non-governmental, and has worked in over 60 countries supporting grassroots media, many on the frontline of social and environmental crisis.
Steve studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge and Sociology at the University of Essex. He grew up in Aberystwyth and now lives in the Dyfi Valley.
