Paul Booth

Co-CEO

Prior to joining CAT in 2018, Paul spent 30 years working extensively with the charity sector as a Chartered Accountant in practice. Paul worked with hundreds of charities, frequently providing strategic planning and advisory support. His clients operated in many fields including the environment, education, social, arts, health and religious sectors.

Paul has been committed to the charity sector and the environment throughout his life. Paul has volunteered for over 25 years supporting young people for The Prince’s Trust and was a trustee at Groundwork MSSTT (now “Groundwork Manchester”) for six years. He has provided pro bono support to many smaller charities, receiving a CSR award for his work with a network for black artists. Paul has also been a guest speaker at charity events and delivered training for many groups and charity trustees.

Paul’s connection with Mid-Wales goes back over forty years to his time as a student at Aberystwyth University, with frequent return visits before the opportunity to work at CAT and move permanently with his family. Paul’s wife works for the Aberystwyth office of a Welsh charity and volunteers much of her spare time with a youth organisation in Ceredigion.

Paul’s other interests include live music, theatre and sports, including being a season ticket holder at Aberystwyth Town FC.
