Gwyn Stacey

Senior Lecturer

As an architect and alumnus of the Graduate School, Gwyn returns to CAT to teach as a Senior Lecturer. Alongside teaching, he maintains a portfolio of voluntary and professional practice with a focus on low impact construction, heritage conservation and community projects.

Gwyn is an Architect with multidisciplinary training in both Building Services Engineering and Architecture.

Having worked with BuroHappold Engineering in their highly regarded Sustainability team during the initial years of his career, Gwyn has since built a portfolio of work and teaching across England and Wales. Working with collaborators and in practice Gwyn has developed an expertise of high performance sustainable design with low impact construction techniques. As an alumnus of Graduate School for the Environment the CAT ethos is core to his way of thinking and living.

As well as teaching at CAT, Gwyn maintains a portfolio of voluntary and professional practice with a focus on low impact construction, heritage conservation and community projects. Born and bred in Wales, Gwyn is a firm believer in utilising his expertise for the good of the planet’s people and ecosystems learning from and applying to the rural and urban areas of Wales.
