The results of six case studies using whole life carbon assessment of buildings based on the WBCSD Framework.

In 2020, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) published the Building System Carbon Framework to provide a common language to companies and other stakeholders involved in the built environment on how they can collaborate to achieve decarbonisation across the full life cycle of buildings.

The Framework provides a clear overview of all the carbon emissions in the building system over a full life cycle, and it enables reflections and opportunities for dialogue between all stakeholders. This report presents and discusses the results of six case studies developed from Arup projects using whole life carbon assessment of buildings based on the WBCSD Framework.
