Moth traps, bat detectors and a torch lit walks in the woods. What more could you want from an evening at CAT?

CAT’s visitor centre and surrounding woodland is home to an amazing number of species of moth and there are several active bat roosts close by. Pull on your boots and grab a bat detector and moth ID book, what creatures of the night will you discover?

Order of the day

• 7pm – Nature by Night welcome talk and a chance to walk around CAT’s visitor centre after it’s closed to the public. 
• 8pm – Head out at dusk to discover the creatures of the night. 
• Optional overnight stay – see below to book
• 8:30am – Check the moth traps and discover CAT’s early risers. 
• 10am – Depart or you are free to explore CAT’s visitor Centre 

Bring a torch and plenty of warm/waterproof clothing!
