Join the CHERISH team and learn all about the impact of climate change on our fragile coastal heritage.

The CHERISH Project, which stands for Climate, Heritage and Environments of Reefs, Islands and Headlands, is a multidisciplinary project exploring the impact of climate change on our fragile coastal heritage.

With the UK and Ireland set to experience more frequent extreme weather events, the predicted changes will have a variety of effects on our coastal heritage. Coastal erosion and damage to buildings from storm surges, the increased likelihood of flooding during period of high rainfall and the drying of cliff faces in period of intense heat will all impact our coastline.

The project’s travelling exhibition which explores these important themes will be featured at CAT from 10 May to 8 June and on Wednesday 31 May, the CHERISH team will be on hand to help bring the imagery and data to life through Q&As, interactive models and activities focused on archaeology and paleoenvironmental science.

Suitable for all ages.
