The Llwyngwern Bursary, named after the transformed slate quarry CAT calls home, is given to two postgraduate students annually from our Sustainability and Adaptation course and our Sustainability in Energy Provision and Demand Management course.

Inspired by CAT’s mission to inspire, inform and enable humanity to respond to the climate and biodiversity emergency, funds for the Llwyngwern bursary were kindly been donated by some of CAT’s members to support two new MSc students to study climate solutions on a CAT postgraduate course.

The bursary will be offered to two students per intake, one on our MSc or MRes Sustainability and Adaptation course and the other on our MSc Sustainability in Energy Provision and Demand Management course, and cover 75% of their tuition costs.

Applications for the bursary are now open to applicants starting their studies at CAT in September 2024. Bursary applications will close on 31 May 2024.

Other funding opportunities are also available to new students including the annual Sir John Houghton Bursary, the Ethel and Gwynne Morgan Trust bursary, and The Rose Jessica-Maia bursary.
