Andy Baylis

Andy is a Chartered Engineer with nearly thirty years’ experience in mainstream and low carbon construction industries in the UK.
A Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers, he has worked as a designer, multidisciplinary project manager and company director in sectors throughout the industry.
In recent years Andy completed an MSc in Green Building at CAT specialising in researching and developing solutions for low-impact building ground floor and foundation solutions.
As the founding director of Jengo Sustainable Design, he has championed projects using natural and low-impact materials such as timber frame, straw bale, roundwood timber, cob, clay plasters and earthern floors. Current projects are being developed with cement-free construction and repurposed local materials.
