Eve Jardine-Young

Having been born and raised in Malawi, Eve has an international outlook and a deep-rooted commitment to regenerative economics, conservation, environmental education and initiatives, social enterprise, microfinance, and sustainable development.

Having secured university sponsorship from Arup for her degree in Engineering Science at Cambridge, her dissertation afforded her the chance for collaboration with the Scott Polar Institute on glacial surging, a project which brought global warming and climate change into sharp focus – where they have remained.

Across her thirty year career in education, she has held academic, pastoral and governance roles in both co-educational and single sex schools. Currently Principal of Cheltenham Ladies’ College, she has worked in the UK secondary school sector for almost 30 years, including speaking in Washington, London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Prague, Singapore, Guernsey, Thailand, Hong Kong, and TEDx Cheltenham.

She was made an Honorary Fellow of the University of Gloucestershire for services to education in the county, and is a member of the Cheltenham Education Partnership with 11 schools, the Cheltenham Festivals, GCHQ and Cheltenham Borough Council.

Eve was Chair of the World Leading Schools Association (WLSA) for five years, and is currently a school governor. She supports and mentors educational leaders, and is a champion for lifelong learning.
