In support of the Climate Coalition’s UK-wide ‘Speak Up Week’ from 30th June to 8th July, CAT will be helping the fight to tackle climate change by inviting the public to discover what a Zero Carbon Britain looks like and how it can be achieved.

The Zero Carbon Britain trail sends visitors all over our seven acre visitor centre to discover CAT’s positive vision for a future Britain that doesn’t contribute to climate change.

Paul Allen, our Zero Carbon Britain Project Manager, said: “The trail is a fun way to explore the CAT site and learn more about the buildings, gardens and technologies on display and put these technologies in context by showing the role they could play in a future Britain. Claim a small prize at the end by handing your completed trail sheet back in to the shop and collect a very important letter template to send to your MP to ask them support a Zero Carbon Pledge. Join CAT and the Climate Coalition and Speak Up!”

In addition, Paul will be delivering a public lecture on the evening of Thursday 5th July to explore the international political process on climate change and why we must raise ambition for zero carbon emissions. As preparations for the next international conference in Katowice, Poland get underway, Paul will explore what stage we have now reached, what needs to happen by when and exactly what is at stake.
