Almost half of our Graduate School of the Environment students first heard about CAT through a recommendation from someone they trust, including current students and CAT graduates. If you’ve benefited from studying with us, why not help someone else begin their journey?
Our Student Referral Scheme recognises the valuable role that current students and graduates play in sharing their experiences and helping prospective students learn more about studying at CAT.
If someone you refer successfully enrols on one of our eligible degree programmes, you’ll be eligible for a referral reward as a thank you from us.
Who can take part?
The scheme is open to:
- Current CAT Graduate School students
- CAT graduates who have successfully completed a qualification with us
You can refer friends, colleagues, family members, or anyone who may be interested in studying with CAT, provided they meet the entry requirements for their chosen programme.
How does it work?
Step 1: Talk to someone about studying at CAT
Share your experience of studying with CAT and tell prospective students about our courses, community and learning environment.
Step 2: The prospective student applies
When completing their application, the applicant should provide your full name as the person who referred them.
Step 3: The student enrols
The referred student must successfully enrol and remain enrolled beyond their first term of study.
Step 4: Receive your reward
If you know a prospective student has applied, please fill in our form below when they’ve done so. This will ensure we have your details to contact you about your reward once the eligibility criteria have been met. If you don’t complete this step you may lose out and we may not be able to contact you to arrange your referral reward.

Referral Rewards
As a thank you for helping us welcome new students to CAT, eligible referrers may choose from a range of rewards, including:
- A complimentary Graduate Symposium ticket (subject to availability)
- Complimentary accommodation during the Graduate Symposium weekend (subject to availability)
- A complimentary Members’ Conference ticket
Where multiple successful referrals are made, additional event tickets may be available.
Full details of available rewards will be confirmed when your referral is approved.
