Calling all nature loving gardeners.

Lay the foundations to your wildlife gardening knowledge and explore what you can do in your own garden to help nature flourish on this exciting day out in the CAT gardens.

This introductory day offers a wide variety of tips for gardening for nature, packed full of practical activities and knowledge to help wildlife thrive in your garden at home.

This practical day will explore the themes of planting food for nature, creating a fresh water source, nurturing healthy organic soil and building habitats. Discover how to bring all of these elements together within your own outdoor space to support a biodiverse ecosystem which is beneficial to us and wildlife.

Key information

  • Duration: One day
  • Start and finish times: starts at 9am and ends at 5pm
  • Price: adult £65, CAT member (adult)* £55, child under 16 £30
  • Includes: tuition, two refreshment breaks and lunch
  • This day is brilliant for adults of all ages and older children (14 and up) with a love of gardening and nature. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • You’ll need appropriate footwear and clothing for a day out in the CAT gardens.
  • No previous gardening experience required.

Tutor Details:

Veronica has been CAT’s Gardens Ranger since 2021. Bringing a holistic approach to gardening, Veronica’s passion for creating thriving, biodiverse outdoor spaces that are accessible to all is infectious, and her courses are filled with a wealth of practical, seasonal gardening knowledge.
