Join the CAT team for a hands-on nature count to record and protect our local biodiversity.

Discover the wonderful wildlife sharing our site at our family-friendly Bank Holiday Bio-Blitz. This free event invites nature lovers of all ages to become citizen scientists for the day. Using CAT’s Strawbale Theatre as our base of operations for the day, you can get stuck into pond dipping, inspect overnight moth traps, count species using butterfly transects, and survey our summer meadows.

Every creature and plant you spot will be logged using the iNaturalist app, directly updating CAT’s conservation records and contributing to vital biodiversity data for the whole valley. Whether you are a seasoned tracker or a curious beginner, it promises to be a brilliant day of nature spotting.

A delicious vegetarian lunch is available from the CAT Café with refreshments available throughout the day.
